Galilean Breeze Festival
Once a year, in collaboration with the "Hamila" theatre, Sha'ar La'Adam-Bab Lil'Insan holds a unique festival over the Shavuot holiday. The festival takes place in the forest between Harduf and Ka'abiyye. The place opens up its gates to Arab and Jewish residents and invites them to get acquainted with our activities. The people who come to the festival experience the atmosphere and the spirit of the place and become acquainted with the leading questions which inspire our work. The festival is a rich Jewish-Arab event, with plays and music shows for children, experiential tours in Harduf and in the area, creative workshops, story telling, dialogue circles and folk dancing workshops.
The uniqueness of Sha'ar La'Adam – Bab Lil'Insan and the Hamila theatre is that these initiatives go from the inside out with the purpose of meeting the people outside, rather than bringing people inside, like the Waldorf Education school or the curative trainings and homes. As these initiatives have a mission to work in the world at large, they must cope with two great challenges: how not to lose oneself and one's belief when going out toward the world, and how to remain in sincere dialogue with that which the world brings to one's door, whilst developing the ability to change accordingly.
