Stories are powerful.
From the first breaths we take they surround us.
From the story of our parents to the story of our nation,
they penetrate us and define our way of thinking
they make our closer or create distance.
Can we use the power of story to create a bridge between different
points of view?
Can we find a similar core that binds all our stories as children of Adam and Eve?
"Jiser el Adam" is a unique project.
12 brave young adults from the ages of 19 to 25 will meet from the Holy Land,
and together they will dive into an intensive 4 weeks’ course
which will take place in the "Sha'ar laAdam - Bab l'ilInsan
".
The first two weeks will be dedicated to learning
storytelling and theatre tools to give us little helpers for bridging conflicts. The third week will be
dedicated to workshops that the group will run with Arab and Jewish teenagers. These workshops will be based on
the first two weeks’ knowledge.
In the last week the group will participate in the annual “Fire for Peace” festival
which will take place in the "Sha'ar laAdam - Bab l'ilInsan
", presenting some of the fruits of our work...
In between we will
travel around and get to know the local culture.
